Your first quad safari: what to expect
You do not need to have ridden a quad before. The day is built for first-timers: you learn the machine, ride it under supervision, and only then head into the forest.

Short answer
No experience is needed. After hotel pickup, certified instructors explain how the quad works and the rules of the track, you get a helmet, and everyone rides a supervised test lap. Then come 1.5 to 2 hours of forest, mud and water, a shower at the base, and the transfer back.
1. Pickup
The transfer collects you at your hotel and drives you to the safari station in the pine country behind the resorts. Wear your mud clothes already; bring the clean ones in a bag.
2. Briefing and helmet
Certified instructors run through how the quad works and what the rules of the track are. Helmets are compulsory and issued at the base. Goggles and bandanas can be bought there if you want them. If you are driving, have your ID ready: the base checks the driver's.
3. The test lap
Everyone rides a test lap under supervision before the trail. It is there so that you head out already knowing how the machine behaves under your hands — how it accelerates, brakes and turns.
4. The trail
One and a half to two hours of riding. The trail drops into dense forest, climbs over roots and ruts, and runs through mud and standing water. Between the rough sections it opens out onto the Taurus foothills above Side.
5. Shower, change, return
Back at the base there are showers and changing cabins. Wash off the dust, put on something dry, and the transfer runs you back to your hotel. Door to door, allow about 3 to 4 hours.
Driving or riding behind?
You can drive from age 16. If you have back or neck trouble, or simply prefer it, sit behind as a passenger — the trail is rough. Children from 6 ride belted behind an adult driver: quad safari with children.
